The dream begins

We were all gripped on Tuesday night as two Christchurch families were chosen from six in the first of the new series of Mitre 10 Dream Home after presenting models of their dream home to the judges. The two families – Martyn and Sarah Giles and their six children and Amanda Fall and Jay Blair with three children - will go on to build their dream homes on a site in Kaiapoi and compete to own the house they build. Resene is one of the show’s sponsors and will provide all of the paint for the homes. The families will also drive around in Rav 4s thanks to Toyota. The show concentrates on one room at a time, starting with the master bedroom and we will track their progress here on Habitat of the Week each week. So tune in to TV2 next Tuesday, July 9, at 7.30pm and to us here at Habitat of the Week on Thursday, July 11.
