Easy DIY: striped vases

29 Jun 2017

Get arty with your vases, using your favourite Resene colour combo and Resene testpots. For an alternative to flower vases, look out for carafes and sparkling water bottles... they serve the same purpose and also look great with this paint effect.

You will need: glass vases, carafes, and/or bottles, painter's tape, paintbrush, Resene Quick Dry primer, and Resene testpots in your favourite colours.

Prime the vases and leave to dry. Tape up the sections you are going to paint.

Because they are various colours, you'll end up painting some of the stripes, leaving them to dry, and then masking off for the other stripes.

For this project, we used Resene Cutty Sark, Resene Deep Teal, Resene Kandinsky, Resene Tequila and Resene Wax Flower.

Fill your decorative vases with freshly picked flowers, fallen twigs, or green leaves with tall stems.
