Create a hanging plant holder
duration: 0:0:24

Bring your home to life with a hanging plant holder. It’s a gorgeous way to display your indoor plants.

You will need:

  • Resene testpots in your choice of colours. We used Resene Sassy and Resene Twilight
  • Paintbrush
  • String
  • Masking tape
  • Small wooden crate

Step one. Paint the crate with one Resene testpot and leave to dry. We used Resene Twilight.

Step two. With the tape, mask out diagonal lines on all four sides of the crate.

Step three. On two sides opposite to each other, paint the bottoms in your second Resene testpot colour.  We used Resene Sassy. On the other two sides, paint the top halves in your second Resene testpot colour.  We used Resene Sassy. Remove the tape and leave to dry.

Step four. Knot four lengths of twine underneath the crate and use them to string up the planter.

Step five. Fill with indoor plants and succulents that cascade over the edges. Your plant holder is all ready to go!

Top tip: Use other colour combinations and designs to suit your décor.  Or for a touch of extra glamour use Resene FX Metallics as the accent colour.
