Floating shelves are a clever way to add flair to your walls, without taking up too much real estate. Here’s a simple way to bring them into your home.
You will need:
Step one. Paint the outside of the boxes in Resene Sakura. Leave to dry.
Step two. Paint the inside of the boxes in Resene Dingley. Leave to dry.
Step three. Use the pencil and ruler to create an octagonal shape on the Resene Wallpaper Collection design to fit inside of the box. Cut out the octagon.
Step four. Paste the Resene Wallpaper Collection piece inside the box.
Step five. Attach hooks onto the back of the box and hang up. Fill with light ornaments that complement the colour scheme.
Top tip: You can also wallpaper the outside of the wooden boxes and complement with a painted or wallpapered interior, or a combination of both. For a subtle textured wallpaper effect using anaglytpa from the Resene Wallpaper Collection with your favourite Resene paint colour painted on top.
