What’s better than a chopping board that’s beautiful enough to use as a serving tray as well? We took a plain wooden chopping board and spruced it up with an art deco-inspired pattern, using colours from the Resene range. Here's how easy it is to create your own.
You will need:
Step one. Using the pencil and ruler, mask out the two main colours and paint the first pattern in Resene Meteor and Resene Bardot. Leave to dry.
Step two. As above, mask out the top triangle pattern, and paint in Resene Half Splash. Leave to dry.
Step three. Finally, mask out the bottom chevron pattern and paint in Resene Half Splash. Leave to dry.
Step four. Use for a cheese platter or starters and serve to guests. It’s also a great way to brighten up the dinner table.
Top tip: Once used, wipe it clean and allow to air dry. Don’t place it in your dishwasher as that will damage the timber and the paintwork.
