With just a lick of paint, wooden tags can become tree decorations, present toppers, napkin ring and garland and more – and they’ll perfectly match your Resene wall colour!

You will need:

• Wooden tags
• Small paint brush
• String, twine or ribbon
• Resene testpots in your choice of colours – we used Resene Merlot and Resene Quarter Spanish White

Step 1 Paint tags in Resene Merlot and Resene Quarter Spanish White. You will need two coats on the front and back of each, allowing adequate drying time in between.

Step 2 Thread string, twine or ribbon onto each tag, adding a knot at the end.

Step 3 Use your tags to decorate your home:

1. Make a garland by tying each tag onto a long piece of string, twine or ribbon at approximately 5cm intervals.

2. Hang tags on to your tree as decorations. If you don’t have space for a big tree, try hanging them off a branch in a vase;

3. Tie your tags onto presents to dress them up; and/or

4. Use your tags as napkin rings.
