Lacy good looks
duration: 0:1:26

Lace patterns always look beautiful. Turn this glass vase from plain to pretty with a lace effect. Here’s how to create your own.

You will need:

  • Tall glass vase
  • Cake stencil in a lace pattern
  • Resene testpot in your choice of colour.  We used Resene Redemption Blue
  • Testpot brush or sponge.
  • Masking tape

Step one. Tape the stencil around the vase.

Step two. Lightly apply your Resene testpot colour onto the stencil, so as not to spread the paint underneath.  We used Resene Redemption Blue.

Step three. Once dry, remove the stencil and fill with freshly picked blooms. Your beautiful lace vase is all ready to use.

Top tip: Use a Resene FX Metallic to add sparkling bling to your vase.  Or opt for old glass bottles instead of a jar and use the lace effect on them.
