Four colours we’re loving for home interiors

It’s official, we’ve now past the shortest day of the year. And just like the days and seasons change, so do colour trends and preference in home design.

Our top four picks this month bring you a little bit of everything. From warm to cool, and neutrals with depth, these shades bring a timeless feel to your home while still adding a distinctive touch of colour.

Zumthor

What it looks like: Resene Zumthor is a crisp icy off-white with a pale blue edge.

Where to use it: Zumthor’s subtle blue tone makes it a near-neutral, versatile choice for most spaces at home. Try it in entryways, bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms paired with warm décor and furniture.

Best friend colours: Pair this gentle blue with a crisp white like Quarter Black White, a darker shade of the same family, Conch, and a beachy wood stain like Resene Colorwood Breathe Easy:

Pot Pourri

What it looks like: Resene Pot Pourri is a dusky pink rose pastel hue.

Where to use it: Subtle pinks can be used as neutrals to add warmth to many spaces. Try Pot Pourri in entryways, living rooms, bedrooms or kitchens. Some added warmth from timber and real greenery really bring out this hue.

Where to use it: Use this shade in kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms for a calm, nature-inspired space.

Truffle

What it looks like: Resene Truffle is a soft warm light beige, like winter foliage.
