Here’s a great way to brighten up your entrance hall – take some plain frames and paint them in a variety of Resene colours to make an eye-catching but co-ordinated gallery wall. Sarah Friis is the clever homeowner who created the look, and set the frames on a wall of Resene Athens Grey.

The rainbow slipped from the sky and landed on this outdoor dining set. Alice Behan is ‘chuffed’ with the table and benches, which are framed in Resene Alabaster then finished in a range of testpots – Resene Milano Red, Resene Sun, Resene Moon Yellow, Resene Limeade, Resene Lochmara, Resene Resolution Blue and Resene Blue Diamond.  

Rachel Lalla of Gisborne has turned a drab old set of drawers into a stunning candy-coloured delight. She says the trickiest part of the project was washing the brush between the different colours! Colours used are, from the top, Resene Mint Tulip, Resene Riptide, Resene Niagara, Resene Rapture, Resene Geraldine and Resene Cornflower.

During the summer school holidays, Estelle Cashmore of Thames and her 12-year-old grand-daughter set to and painted the fence. But rather than go for a camouflaging dark green, they used a variety of Resene colours for a rainbow effect.

Interior designer Lou Barker of Blue Scarlet has been upcycling old furniture, using colourful Resene paint on many of them. These old bar stools had a makeover in Resene Mother Earth along with a multi-coloured seat cushion.

Molly Whittington let her creative daughter Kirsten loose in her garden with some left-over Resene paint and she came up with various colourful corners, including this one with an old wooden barrow, and the garden shed door.
