Reader roundup: Office murals, exterior makeovers and clouded blue bedrooms

We’ve got a great roundup of end-of-year projects from our readers. From a dining room in Resene Finch to summer makeovers, you’re sure to find some inspiration here! When Ami bought this cute cottage she knew it had a little more cuteness behind the scenes. After a refresh and painting it in Resene Edward and Pearl Lusta it still holds onto its history and beauty, but has been brought back to life.

We love what Claire has done with her dining space. “I’ve always had an issue with this space in our house because it never had a purpose, she says. “We found visitors would always gather in this area being next to the kitchen, so making it a seating area made sense.” Claire’s DIY dining area, painted in Resene Finch, is now a space that is well-used, and well-loved by all. Maker Build, specialising in beautifully built residential homes and renovations, have this crisp brickwork in Resene Merino to showcase on a new build. “We wanted something a little different to the standard bagged brick finish and the guys at Dobbs Brick & Blocklayers have nailed it!” See more of Maker Build’s work on Instagram - @maker_build.

Christina, aka @demo_to_reno_gal, refreshed her guest room in what she calls her “absolute favourite blue” – Resene Clouded Blue. This slate blue is the perfect shade for a guest room, or any space in home interiors and looks wonderful all year round.

Artist Joel Nicholls is very talented when it comes to his murals. This particular one was done for the Times newspaper HQ, a bold nature design and bright burst of Resene colour to liven up a once plain office space in Resene Tory Blue, Outrageous, Pink Lace, Tutti Frutti and Bright Red.
