Bachelor pad breaks out of reno rut

In another week of great renovations, TVNZ1's HOMEmade visited the bachelor pad of Atlas, firefighter, amateur actor and solo dad, and his son Matthias.

Renovations had already started since the lads moved in, with part of the kitchen removed to allow access to polish the concrete floors. 

Before: Renovations have already started on this Auckland home – the HOMEmade team stepped in to help things along.  

With a small two-seater, iron outdoor table as a dining table, the HOMEmade team set out to give the two a nice place to hang out, cook and eat together. 

After: The existing kitchen has been replaced, painted in Resene Half Silver Chalice. 

After: New skirting boards were added, painted in Resene Black White. The walls are painted in Resene Silver Chalice and the TV cabinet is painted in Resene Nero. 

Dan and the team also created an outdoor pizza creation space, complete with pizza topping tomatoes and a pizza oven.
