Birds of a feather

The latest collaborative project by Liz Kerby of Flutter Design and artist Philippa Bentley was inspired by gannet feathers collected on Muriwai Beach, harrier hawk feathers gifted by a friend and in memory of the extinct huia bird. Called simply Feathers and used on Flutter Design’s recreation of the iconic butterfly chair, it echoes local fauna and builds on Philippa’s other designs for Flutter, which depict dragonflies.  It’s a design that also plays on the ‘flutter’ name.
