A bit of Christmas love

This fun and colourful local twist on the Christmas theme is from the studio of Rotorua-based husband and wife team of Aly Bennett and Harm Zuidmeer. Their company Native Creative has a range of furniture, prints, wall art, jewellery and more, often inspired by their love of native birds and plants. These gorgeous tui and fantail hearts are made from interior grade 3mm bamboo plywood and painted in Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel tinted to Resene Limerick (green) and Resene Havoc (red). They’ll look great hanging from the Christmas tree, then simply transfer them to hang in a window, on the wall, or a pot plant. The hearts measure 11cm by 11cm and are available from Native Creative or at Felt.
