Bold communication

12 Mar 2015

Auckland gallery Te Tuhi recently opened its Autumn/Winter 2015 exhibition with an eclectic range of art, including the bold geometrical work of painter Jessica Pearless.

Jessica is the first artist to show on the gallery’s Project Wall this year, in which she used the strong geometry of nautical semaphore patterns (used largely on flags at sea as a telegraphy system) as an influence for the artwork, titled Field.

The painting is created using Resene paint, including the colours Resene Havoc, Resene Copper Fire and Resene Periglacial Blue.

Jessica will be speaking at Te Tuhi next Thursday, 19 March, at 10.45am, as part of the gallery’s ‘Artist Talk’ series.
