Entries are now open for the New Zealand Geographic Photographer of the Year 2014, with Resene sponsoring the landscape section as well as a special colour award. Other categories include wildlife, society and culture, and photo-story. The awards celebrate the time-honoured art of editorial photography and showcase the extraordinary natural and cultural riches of New Zealand. Entries close on July 16 with winners announced in September. Members of the public can also vote for a People’s Choice Award from August onwards. The photograph above was last year’s supreme winner, Richard Robinson.
