Dark and moody wins the day

In the first of the interiors challenge on TV2’s Mitre 10 Dream Home, the Orange team – aka the Giles family – won with a sophisticated master bedroom finished in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted to Resene Fuscous Grey. With trims in Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Half Villa White and acid yellow accessories, the room garnered top score during judging. Interior designer LeeAnn Yare praised the room for its strength of personality saying: “I love it. I’m glad they’ve gone to the dark side.” The Black team also used a limey yellow for their room, in a feature wall painted in Resene Tweet. Other walls were painted in Resene Quarter Foggy Grey. The new series screens on TV2, Tuesdays at 73.0pm, and is sponsored by Resene and Toyota among others.
