Get gardening at school

10 Jul 2013

The 2013 Tui School Garden Challenge (TSGC) is about to start the search for New Zealand's best school gardens – children from Opua School (pictured) won last year’s challenge. This annual competition is designed to encourage pre-school, primary school and intermediate students, their families and communities into the garden whether they are starting from scratch with a new garden, or using an existing one. The theme for this year is edible gardens and the first 200 schools to register will receive a bonus starter pack with seedlings, seeds, Tui products, Resene paint vouchers, The Tui NZ Kids Gardening Book and more. Registrations open on July 29, 2013, and the winner will be announced in November. For more information, see www.tuigarden.co.nz/school-garden-challenge
