Getting the HOMEmade treatment

24 Aug 2017

Imagine a team of experts coming into your home, throwing you out for 48 hours, and making over one of your rooms and the garden. Wouldn’t that be bliss? Well, new TVNZ 1 show HOMEmade is doing just that, giving Kiwis a helping hand with their homes.

The first episode aired last night, starting with Auckland couple Vanessa and Ross – the first home buyers poured every cent they had into their tiny property, and can’t afford to renovate.

The living room and kitchen had become a study, office and laundry, as well as a dining room at night... created with a camping trestle table in the middle of the floor.

The HOMEmade moved in and got to work, installing a brand-new kitchen and dining area, complete with new Resene paint colours.  Now the family are finally able to properly cook and eat together.

Before: Vanessa and Ross haven’t been able to afford to renovate their 60sqm home.

After: The HOMEmade team installed a brand new kitchen for the couple, as well as a dining area. The walls are painted in Resene Eighth Lemon Grass on the walls and Resene Black White on the ceiling and trims.

Catch episodes of HOMEmade on TVNZ 1, Wednesdays at 7.30pm. If you missed last night's episode, you can watch at www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/homemade.
