Gone to the birds
27 Apr 2016
Stunning cycle and walking trails are becoming a hugely popular part of our landscape, and with the help of Resene, one Bay of Plenty network of tracks is even more scenic. Resene donated paint to the Motu Trails Charitable Trust in Opotiki a while back, which was used to paint cut-out wooden birds to adorn the Dunes Trail section of the Motu Trails to celebrate some of the birds of our area (dotterel, pied stilts, weka) as well as gecko and seals.
The trust is thrilled with the result, and for the money they’ve saved on paint. Trust members are steadily using more of the paint to make signs around the trails. For more see www.motutrails.co.nz.
