08 Sep 2022

One in eight New Zealand men will get prostate cancer – making it the most diagnosed cancer in the country. Blue September is the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s annual events to raise money to improve the health outcomes of those affected by the disease. Resene is proud to support Blue September with the Paint It Blue campaign. For every blue Resene 60 mL testpot sold between 8-21 September 2022 at Resene owned ColorShops, Resene will donate $1 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

So whether Resene Float, floats your boat or if you prefer the soaring heights of Resene Aviator or riding a wave of style with Resene Surfs Up – every blue testpot will go to support someone affected by Prostate Cancer, so pop into your Resene ColorShop today.

This block artwork is a great project using blue Resene testpots.Simply glue children’s building blocks onto two small, framed canvases. Vanessa painted these blocks in Resene Casper (on the top artwork) and Resene Dusted Blue and Resene Shadowy Blue (on the lower artwork). You can either paint your blocks before you glue them to the canvas – or after. Wall in Resene Coast, side table and vase (with handles) in Resene Dusted Blue, plant pot in Resene Casper, bowl in Resene Shadowy Blue and round tealight holder in Resene Indian Ink.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation has a significant role in promoting public awareness of this disease. With over 4000 New Zealand men being diagnosed each year, and with early detection leading to better outcomes, it is important that men are aware of the signs of potential disease and also of the checking and screening tests that are available from their doctor. Each year Blue September focuses on prostate cancer awareness.
