Green-spiration: Trees That Count does un-beleafable good work

09 Jun 2021

Get painting and planting to support a good cause when you go green this June. For World Environment Day 2021, Resene is running a Paint it Green campaign where they will donate $1 for every green testpot bought to Trees That Count.

Trees That Count facilitates the planting of native trees throughout New Zealand by helping Kiwis plant more and encouraging us all to make an impact on climate change by improving our environment.

Last year, Resene’s commitment to the climate through the Paint it Green campaign funded 1,240 trees and supported six planter businesses, including the Waiheke Resources Trust, Whangara Farms and Puke Kopipi Restoration Group. You can keep up to date with the amount of trees funded this year here.

You can give a gift that grows by gifting a native tree through Trees That Count. Your donation will sponsor a tree that will then get matched with a planting project and you’ll be notified where your tree will be planted. Visit the Trees That Count website to learn more or donate/

 Some green-spiration

In June Resene is donating $1 to Trees That Count for every green testpot purchased. For some green ideas try a nature inspired wall - a great option if you struggle with looking after house plants.

This nature-inspired feature wall has Resene Leap Year on the walls and Resene Aquamarine on the floors which when paired together create a dramatic background for the lighter, more neutral tones used in this hand-stencilled vine design painted in Resene Feijoa, Resene Summer Green and Resene Ottoman. The drawers are painted in Resene Surf Crest. Image Wendy Fenwick, project by Emily Somerville-Ryan.
