Painting for charity
23 Oct 2013
This year New Zealand Fashion Week commissioned Auckland based claymation and cartooning artist Guy Cooper to create a huge ‘paint by numbers’ artwork for official charity, Endometriosis NZ (ENZ).This massive 6m x 4m canvas was stenciled out and then filled in by well-known kiwis including Prime Minister John Key, Dame Pieter Stewart, Sara Tetro and ENZ Ambassador Miriama Kamo. Each person painted their section in a Resene colour from The Range fashion colours collection and signed the key chart.
The finished artwork was displayed at New
Zealand Fashion Week, and is up for auction to raise vital funds for ENZ. Money
raised from the winning bid will go towards a specialised educational programme
for schools so that girls and young women get the help they need early rather
than entering a life of long-term suffering and infertility.
So add some colour and fashion to your home or
office décor and help a very worthy cause by bidding for this unique Paint By
Numbers canvas on TradeMe.
