PAWGUST: Join the pawsome pack

PAWGUST is back for its second year, and you could be part of this amazing journey! 

The month-long event encourages you to walk or run to raise vital funds and awareness for Blind Low Vision NZ Guide Dogs. It's a fantastic way to stay active and support a cause close to your heart. 

How does it work? 

Sign up:Register online, choose your distance challenge level (60km, 100km, or 125km), and create your fundraising page. 

Walk or run: Hit the streets and walk or run every day throughout August. 

Raise funds: Share your journey with friends and family to help raise funds for Blind Low Vision NZ Guide Dogs. 

Feel PAWsome: Know you are making a difference by raising vital funds to support guide dogs. 

Your participation helps provide essential services to people who are blind, deafblind or have low vision. You’ll also get to enjoy the health benefits of being active while connecting with a community of passionate dog lovers and enjoy special PAWGUST events and challenges.

How else can you support Blind Low Vision NZ?  

With an increasing number of blind, deafblind and low vision New Zealanders needing guide dogs, and no government funding, it is a challenge for Blind Low Vision NZ continue to train and maintain guide dog costs. Paws for Purpose Christchurch, featuring unique art pieces created by local artists from former Trudy Dog coin collection boxes painted in Resene paints and colours, are on display and up for auction, offering a chance to beautify your space while supporting this vital cause. Don’t miss the live auction on August 21st at The Tannery for a fun evening and a chance to bid on these one-of-a-kind pieces.
