Project Runway: off the wall designs
08 Nov 2018
Wallpapers from the Resene Wallpaper Collection were behind the looks created in this week’s episode of Project Runway.
The nine designers were taken into the woods where trees had been wrapped in various wallpapers. They raced to choose the one they wanted, and were given a day and a half in the workroom and $150 to create a high-end look inspired by the wallpaper patterns.
Benjamin Alexander emerged as the winner with a design, above left, that used Resene paints and shaving cream to create a graffiti-inspired print on his fabric. The judges said it was cool and fresh, and well-constructed.
Other looks shown above are by Peni Moala and Jess Hunter.
