Rock on with colour

Remember the pet rock craze many years ago? Well, one creative artist may be taking that one step further with her delightful painted rocks. Finished in Resene paints, the rocks come with all sorts of designs from flowers, stylised suns, smiley faces… and lizards and cute monkey faces for those who want to revisit the pet rock days. Many are colourful and fun, but Jynette Parker also has a more natural-coloured range. She sells them at the Amberley Craft Market, North Canterbury, every second Saturday and can also paint requested designs on a variety of rock sizes.
