What’s trending in wallpaper?

We’ve been gleaning plenty of wallpaper inspiration from the Resene Instagram page (find them @resenecolour). Using designs from the Resene Wallpaper Collection, available from Resene ColorShops, stylist Amber Armitage has created these eye catching flatlays – teamed with complementary Resene paint colours. Here are three trends we’re seeing in the wonderful world of wallpaper.

Painterly florals

Florals are the mainstay in wallpaper, and adapt and modernise as the years go by. Painterly florals are having their moment in the spotlight as a softer, prettier style than the retro florals popular in Nana’s time.

Citrus greens

Dark, murky greens were an interior colour trend that took over the landscape last year, but we’re now seeing glimpses of citrus greens becoming more popular.

Be inspired by fresh limes and crispy lettuce greens and use them as accents in your home, from photo frames to front doors. Or why not bring the trend in with a feature wall of wallpaper? Take inspiration from the below collection.

Fun and graphic

Perfect for kids’ rooms and places that you’d like a bit of pop, fun and graphic wallpapers are just the ticket. Dusky pinks, exotic animals and patterns inspired by places afar are today’s look – a bit cheeky and full of beautiful colour.
