Where art and paint collide

Decorative interiors painter Shane Drinkwater does all sorts of amazing things with paint, creating pieces as diverse as murals, to feature walls and paint effects, to quite personalised and stylised artworks straight onto walls. In this case, the owners of this modern apartment already had the two pieces of black and white art on the wall of their kitchen but they looked lost, and had no impact on the white wall. So Shane came up with the idea of ‘framing’ them with a black rectangle, using Resene Double Foundry, that extends around the corner then added a swirl reminiscing of the paintings in bold green Resene Groovy for a touch of colour.
