Paint it P.I.N.K. for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ!

Breast cancer effects one in nine New Zealand women but is most treatable when it’s found early. The Breast Cancer Foundation relies entirely on donations from the New Zealand public, and you can do your part to support them in pushing for new frontiers in early detection, treatment and support.

One way to show your support is to help Resene raise money for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation. We realise that not everyone loves pink in their home, so when you buy any Resene 60mL testpot from your local Resene owned ColorShop (NZ) beginning with the letter P, I, N or K during May 2024, Resene will donate $1 to Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. Here are some ideas you can try using testpots:

P is for Putty

It’s amazing what you can do with one or two testpots! This delightful painting hack, replicating striped wallpaper using Resene testpots, not only adds charm to a nursery or room but is also easy to execute. The golden, sandy shade of the Resene Putty stripes painted on top of the Resene Double Villa White wall creates a warm and inviting space. You could also try other patterns like circles, polka dots or flowers. Try other testpot shades like Resene Navarone, Resene Pacifika, Resene Poet or Resene Paper Doll.

I is for Iron

Keeping on top of chores needn’t be a bore when your laundry room is this beautiful. Painted in tones of modern Resene blues and a chequered stained floor, it’s enough to inspire you to give it that little bit extra in a room that’s often overlooked. After all, practical doesn’t need to mean ordinary. If you’ve got a neutral or one colour base in your laundry, or any room, then add some pops of colour on accessories using Resene testpots. Try greens like Resene Impromptu and Resene Pine Glade, blues like Resene Kitsch and Resene Pelorous or reds like Resene Pohutukawa and Resene Poppy.

N is for Nero

This mirror painted in Resene Nero, creates a focal point for this room, and is a stunning contrast against the whites and neutrals on the walls and furniture. Black is a classic colour that can work well with a variety of styles and colour schemes and adding small touches of this dark shade to decor can be a great way to add depth, contrast and sophistication to a space. Try testpots in other dark shades like Resene Porter, Resene Ironsand, Resene Kilamanjaro and Resene Possessed.

K is for Koru

Spruce up your garden with these DIY totem poles using your favourite testpot colours. These are simple to make and yet so effective! Paint them in a solid colour then use some painters’ masking tape to add some designs. Be as colourful and creative as you like, this is a great one to get the kids involved in too!
