What do you do at Resene?  

I am the Queensland State Manager.  No day is the same, and I work with a wide range of clients including architects, designers and resellers. I work on everything from presentations to staff support to stock levels. With Christmas around the corner, lots of our clients are trying to complete projects before the end of the year which allows me to catch up on outstanding work and plan for the next six months.

What is one of your favourite projects using Resene products? 

Right now I’m working with a new Ozcare aged care facility project in Brisbane which is very exciting. I’m also working with designers on a couple of high-end residential projects on the Sunshine Coast that haven’t been completed yet. They incorporate Resene Woodsman, Resene Colorwood and Resene Aquaclear.

What is your biggest design or product tip? 

The light in Australia and New Zealand can be quite bright compared to the Northern Hemisphere so when choosing an exterior paint, it pays to test the neutral shade to make sure it isn't going to be too glary. Resene Lumbersider Low Sheen is a durable low sheen exterior paint that is ideal on particularly bright sites, but if glare isn't a factor consider Resene Sonyx 101. This is a semi-gloss exterior paint that really accentuates architectural details on new builds as well as heritage features on homes like Queenslanders. It’s perfect for poolside spaces.

What are your favourite Resene colours? 

I am a true Scandinavian (from Denmark) who likes neutral and lighter colours that bring the light into a space. Scandinavia has days with a small amount of daylight and therefore I enjoy the reflection of light from these colours in spaces. The Resene White & Neutrals fandeck is full of wonderful hues, I particularly like Resene Half Merino.

What do you like to do in your spare time? 

In my spare time I like to do a bit of DIY, I have renovated a few houses in the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Australia. I also like working out and riding my motorbike.
