Not to be missed: Sustainable finance – the catalytic effect
09 Sep 2024
Join four leaders from the New Zealand Green Building Council who are at the cutting edge to better understand global developments in sustainable finance for property and construction, progress on the development of the taxonomy and the demands on delivering high quality, verified outcomes against the myriad of criteria set by international frameworks.
This expert panel will share their insights into global developments, local impacts and exploring the catalytic effect of sustainable finance in building the transition toward the New Zealand Green Building Council’s 2030 and 2050 targets.
“If we are to build the transition to 2030 access to capital through sustainable finance is critical to our success, and it’s a fast-moving space,” says NZGBC. “The sustainable finance revolution demands asset owners and entities deliver high quality, verified outcomes against a large number of criteria set by financial institutions, disclosure requirements, and multiple international frameworks. More broadly, there are also moves to explore opportunities to harmonise approaches to sustainable finance, starting with Australia and New Zealand’s sustainable finance taxonomies.”
Daniel Street from DLA Piper will facilitate the discussion, joined by Jo Kelly from the centre for sustainable finance, Rachel Brown from DLA Piper, Dean Spicer, CFA from ANZ.
Resene is proud to support World Green Building Week and the Green Building Council with this event.
