Resene Product of the Month: Walk-on flooring and paving paint
11 May 2026
Resene has reviewed its flooring range and as a key element of the offer, Resene Walk-on has been reformulated using additional polyurethane resin to maximise its abrasion resistance, along with the removal of a non-slip additive that reduced the cleanability of Walk-on.
Specifiers and customers who require slip resistance can use Resene Non-Skid Deck and Path, add Resene Anti-Slip Additive into Walk-on, or sprinkle directly onto the wet paint (for example, on the leading edges of steps). It is worth noting that many exterior surfaces, such as concrete, are inherently slip-resistant.
With the new formulation, the resulting finish is smoother, tougher and more easily maintained, making it better suited to high-foot-traffic interior and exterior areas, including; decking, paths, steps and patios.

This new home in Auckland features floors in Resene Walk-on in Apple Blossom. Designed by Sunday Architects, the home was recently awarded the Residential Interior Colour Maestro Award at the Resene Total Colour Awards. Photography: Emilio Garcia.
Resene Walk-on has a satin finish, Environment Choice accreditation and is available in most colours from the Resene Total Colour System.
Walk-on is not recommended for vehicular traffic, where Resene Aquapoxy should be used instead.
