Color Marketing Group (CMG) have announced the latest hue that embodies the month of August. As we venture into the depths of winter, it’s nice to see another golden hue drop that brings warmth to these chilly days. Take a look at these designs to see how you can incorporate this creamy orange into your home with Resene paints and wallpapers.

As digital existence spreads and embeds itself into every facet of our lives, the desire to un-correct, un-tether and un-filter only grows stronger. Connection is valuable, but it must be genuine, emotional and rooted in humanity.

Enter the colour Unfiltered. Emerging from Color Marketing Group’s European Region Forecasting, this hue represents a transition between the digitally enhanced and the simply present. A low-chroma, slightly faded orange, Unfiltered is a warm, embraceable shade with an undercurrent of energy and optimism.

Its gentle, tactile appearance makes it ideal for both small and large interior spaces. This hue is seamlessly integrated into a colourscape of taupe, teal, charcoal and brown – think Resene Half Drought, Resene Deep Teal, Resene Shark and Resene Saddle.

This hue’s ‘touch-ability’ enhances its appeal in interior design, from textiles and walls to architectural coatings and home décor. Its warmth feels familiar, its softness comforting and its orange creamsicle tone adds a playful touch.
