Become top of the hops with this DIY hopscotch

18 Jan 2023

Are the kids looking for something new to play? Or ‘perhops’ they want to try an old classic? This DIY hopscotch is a great way to get them having fun and keep them moving this summer! With so many Resene colours to choose from, you can be as creative as you want, and even get the kids involved to help!

What you will need:

Step 1: Start by priming the pavers with Resene Concrete Primer.

Step 2: Paint two coats on to the top of each paver using your chosen Resene colour, this will be the colour for all the numbers. Fleur used Resene Softly Softly.

Step 3: Once the paint is dry, use a pencil to draw on the numbers from 1 to 10. You can draw this on free-hand or trace around a computer printout of the numbers.

Step 4: Finish by painting each of the pavers with your chosen colour. Fleur used (in order from 1-10) Resene Surfs Up, Resene Gobstopper, Resene Splish Splash, Resene Kermit, Resene Bright Spark, Resene Orang-atan and Resene Chaos.

If you want a glossier finish, you can overcoat with Resene Concrete Clear.

Once dry, let the hopscotching begin!
