Decorate your table top

Add spice to your kitchen/dining room decor with these DIY table top delights. Nikki Astwood shows us how.

Colour dipped bowls

You will need

• Wood bowls
• Masking tape
• Resene testpots in Resene Full Monty, Resene Scrumptious, Resene Niagara, Resene Galliano and Resene Alabaster
• Testpot brushes

Step one. Mask around the bowls, around halfway up.

Step two. Paint the bases in Resene Alabaster. Leave to dry.

Step three. Paint the bottoms in the various Resene testpot colours.

Step four. Remove the masking tape and leave to dry.

Use for serving up condiments, nibbles and sides, for those occasions that call for a bit of colour.

Make a statement

You will need

• Wood block letters
• Resene testpots in Resene Cutty Sark and Resene Black White
• Testpot brush
• Detail brush

Step one. Paint the letters in Resene Cutty Sark. Leave to dry.

Step two. Using a detail brush, outline the letters with dots using Resene Alabaster. Leave to dry.

Display in your dining room or in your kitchen for a stylish statement.
