Easy DIY: Paper flag bunting

17 Aug 2017

Oh, the evergreen appeal of bunting! There are many different styles and ways to make bunting, but this paper flag version by Nikki Astwood of Revised Edition is one of our favourites. The colour combo of grey-blues with a pop of yellow is eye-catching and fun. Here's how to create your own.

You will need

A2 white cardboard
Ruler, pencil and scissors
Testpots in Resene Half Hammerhead, Resene Spotlight, Resene Half Shark and Resene Black White
Resene testpot brush
Washi tape
Hole punch
Twine

Step 1: Using the ruler and pencil, mark out triangles (all the same size) on the cardboard – at least 10. Cut out with the scissors.

Step 2: Paint the flags using the testpots, and leave them to dry.

Step 3: Finish the top of each flag with washi tape.

Step 4: Using the hole punch, create holes on each side of the flags.

Step 5: String the twine through the holes as below, and tie up. Perfect for parties, kid's bedrooms or play rooms!
