Looking for ways to keep the kids entertained and inspired during the holidays? Dive into these fun DIY projects that will spark their creativity and keep them busy! From gathering materials to hands-on assembly, your little ones will love choosing their favourite Resene testpot colours and adding their personal touch to each creation. These projects are sure to become cherished items that they’ll enjoy for years to come.
Memory magic
Here is a project the whole family can enjoy. A memory game is not only fun for kids but great for testing out mum and dad’s memories too. To create this fun game, we took some wooden coasters (you could simply cut up some MDF or paint over old coasters), painted them in white, drew our designs on in pencil then painted over them with vibrant hues – just remember you’ll need two of each design to play the memory game!

A fun and educational DIY for the kids
Create some colourful garden art over the holidays and make it an educational experience for the kids at the same time. Discuss our native birds with them and talk about the colours you’re using. Once you’ve finished this project, the kids might have a new found interest in birds, so you could even go on a nature hunt and try to spot them for real!
