Two handy services from AA Home help you get the assistance you need to look after your property — whether it’s a time of emergency, or you need a simple repair around the home.

Sometimes it can take longer to find a tradie than it does to actually fix the problem. If you have a burst pipe, power issue, no hot water or are locked out of the house, AA Home offers two services to connect you with expert and trusted tradespeople in your time of need.

AA Home Response Plus and AA Home Book a Job, give you access to trusted electricians, plumbers and locksmiths for either emergency repairs or to book in small maintenance jobs around the house.

AA Home Response Plus is an on-call service available 24/7. It’s a great safety-net for younger or older family members who might need extra security or landlords.

• AA Home Response Plus is like AA Roadservice but for your home emergencies. This service is available 24/7, 365 days of the year with expert tradespeople available, usually within an hour, to help fix a range of household incidents. Starting from $179 a year*, you get six emergency callouts included in the annual subscription, each with up to one hour of a tradesperson's time. AA Home Response Plus is also an ideal solution for landlords with rental properties when their tenants need emergency support. It’s a great safety-net for younger or older family members who might need an extra hand for security reasons. Services covered include responding to emergencies such as a blocked toilet, burst tap or pipe, broken hot water cylinder, lockouts and electrical faults. If your home incident requires more time, or a specialised service, AA Home provides an obligation-free quote for the additional work required. You can also get unlimited additional callouts on a pay per use basis if you use all of your six callouts. Our hourly rates are defined upfront and quoted at the time of booking. These rates depend on your location in New Zealand, the time of your callout, and the urgency. AA Home Response Plus is currently available in selected areas around our AA Centres across New Zealand. AA Home Book a Job is great for little jobs such as replacing light switches and installing appliances.

• AA Home Book a Job allows you to book scheduled services from AA Home’s network of expert and trusted plumbers, electricians, locksmiths and handypeople**. These could be minor home repairs, installation jobs and maintenance services such as repair leaks or replacing light switches. AA Members, AA Insurance Home and Landlord policy holders and AA Home Response Subscribers receive a 10% discount on each job booked. This service is currently available in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Wellington, Kapiti, Masterton and Whangarei.
