Picture perfect

Upcycling old picture frames, or painting new ones, to suit your colour scheme is one of the simplest ways to make good use of Resene testpots.
As well as the frame itself you can also use your Resene testpots to paint the surrounding mat for a frame that will really set off your artworks, whether they’re DIY or bought, and add the finishing touch to your room.
You will need:
- Resene testpots. We used Resene Harvest Gold, Resene Half Black White, Resene Drop Dead Gorgeous, Resene Coconut Ice, Resene Manuka Honey and Resene Grapevine.
- Resene testpot brush.
- Craft knife and ruler, if you need to cut your mat to size.
How to:
Step 1: Remove the back from the frame and remove the mat. If needed, give the frame a light sand and wipe with a damp cloth to remove any dust.
Step 2: Paint the frame and the inner mat, in your chosen Resene testpot colours. We used Resene Harvest Gold.
Step 3: Frame up and enjoy your colourful piece of artwork!

Top tip: If you can’t find art to suit, why not paint your own using your Resene testpots or encourage other family members to create an artwork in their favourite colours for you to enjoy for years to come.
