Resene Spanish White, and its variants, are hugely versatile working with any number of colours.
Layers of tonal greens make this space feel sunny and light-filled. Here we have Resene Nourish on the table, round pot and mat, Resene Kandinsky on the round board and Resene Aura on the picture frame. The creamy back wall in Resene Half Spanish White, the shelf in Resene Poured Milk, and the grain of the Resene Colorwood Whitewash floor keep it all from coming across as too chilly.

On trend: warm white 3 ways
It’s been a classic of the home decorating for as long as most of us remember – Resene Spanish White. Along with its close cousin, Resene Pearl Lusta, it’s been one of the most enduring colours in the Resene collection.
And now it’s back. Warm whites are on the rise again as the fondness for the cool, clean lines of the Scandi look evolve into earthier looks that are still natural, but deeper and more textured.
So how do you use it? Like most whites, Resene Spanish White, and its variants, are hugely versatile. We show you how.
The subtle yellow-toned base of colours like the popular Resene Spanish White and its variants, give a softer and more inviting finish to a room, blurring edges, and complementing other bolder shades rather than throwing up sharp contrasts.
It’s a shade that does a great job of enhancing bold colours like deep greens and wine reds, such as Resene Family Tree and Resene Pohutukawa, but just as well with layers of other graduated neutral shades. Or try it with new sun-baked shades of red and orange, such as Resene Red Herring and Resene Sunbaked, for a light-filled summery finish.
You can also experiment with the density and strength of your Resene Spanish White base. Try it in a half, quarter or eight strength for lighter, gentler hints of creaminess. Or go bolder with a double or triple strength version.
We’ve used Resene Half Spanish White to show how versatile this colour can be, giving it three distinct looks using on-trend terracottas and peaches, leafy greens, and classic stony neutrals.
