Weaving colour and pattern
This summer's fabrics from James Dunlop Textiles are all about making a statement, with fresh, vibrant designs sorted into themed collections.
To showcase the collections, merchandising manager Celia Faris captured the different colour stories into styled settings – using paint from Resene to complete the different looks. Here, she shares inspiration for some of the settings with us and what Resene paint colours she used to create such stunning images.

The Amazon collection takes inspiration from the tropical rainforest, implementing the playful fauna, flora and fauna of the region. Here, the fabric Juruti in Carnaval is perfectly set against a wall in half Resene Freefall, with skirting board in Resene Glorious.

The Architects collection is a nod to the Modernist era, where rhythm and organic movement reign. The textures are tactile and the colours are contemporary yet classic. Celia chose walls painted in Resene Half Friar Grey to further set the Modernist mood.

Exotic tropical prints bring a slice of paradise to interiors with new fabric, Pandora. Here, the Sapphire colourway falls against walls painted in Resene Redemption Blue.

Soft and romantic, the patterns of the Glacier fabric is reminiscent of, well, Antarctic glaciers. The colour palette of the fabrics is just as pretty, with names such as mist, chrome and snow (pictured). A vintage pink, Resene Sakura, shows off the overall peacefulness of this collection.
