Resene film festival coming soon
13 Apr 2016
The fifth annual Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival is coming to a city near you. This year’s line-up will showcase the most acclaimed and current films in architecture and design, including documentaries on iconic architects, design trailblazers, fearless visionaries and living cities.
The festival will play nationwide in four locations: Auckland (Rialto Cinemas Newmarket) May 5-18; Wellington (Embassy Theatre): May 26 – June 12; Dunedin (Rialto Cinemas) June 16–26; Christchurch (Academy Gold) June 30 – July 13.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now; see the programme here.
Rialto Cinemas has again partnered with Clearly & Co to curate this year’s line-up. Films have been grouped into themes, so audiences can navigate towards stories they are most curious about. Highlights include Concrete Love (featuring sublime Brutalism, Brazil and Bauhaus); Experiments at Water’s Edge; extraordinary and eccentric Design Trailblazers; and Living Cities, considering how we are navigating the challenges of creating sustainable cities.
This festival is the second largest architecture and design film festival in the world.
