Fun for the kids - create a wall flag

Get arty with the kids by creating this fun wall flag.

You will need:

• A4 cardboard
• Ruler, pencil and scissors
• Resene testpots in Resene Zircon, Resene Fringy Flower, Resene Midnight Express and Resene Ship Cove
• Testpot brush
• Scalpel and backing board
• Hole punch
• Ribbon

Step one. Cut out a rectangle piece from the bottom of the cardboard to create the flag shape.

Step two. Paint the cardboard in Resene Ship Cove and leave to dry.

Step three. Mask out two stripes at the bottom and paint in Resene Zircon (top) and Resene Fringy Flower (bottom). Paint the tips in Resene Midnight Express. Remove the tape and Leave to dry.

Step four. Use a cookie cutter to trace the star shape onto the back of the flag.

Step five. Cut out with the scalpel (remember to use a backing board so as not to damage any surfaces).

Step six. Punch two holes far apart at the top and thread the ribbon through to hang up the flag.

Step seven. Get your kids to help you find a place to proudly display their new flag.
